5 Reasons to Plan a Trip to South Dakota
There are loads of sights to see.
First an foremost, there is no shortage of things to see and do in South Dakota. Check out a palace that’s made entirely of corn, a national monument, a quirky town known for it’s ‘free water’ and one of the most interesting landscapes you’ll come across in this part of the US… all in one state! You won’t have any trouble filling up your bucket list for places to visit and things to do in South Dakota.
It’s easy to do a road trip.
All of the places listed above can easily be added as stops on a road trip mapping through the state. South Dakota is a great spot to pack up the car and just drive! There are also loads of exciting scenic driving trails like The Needles Highway and the Wildlife Loop Road.
Offers diverse weather.
South Dakota, like it’s neighboring Midwestern states, has four distinct seasons. Each season has plenty to offer. If you like hot weather, go in summer and enjoy taking a dip in one of the many lakes. If you are a winter person, head there to enjoy the snow by doing some snowshoeing or snowmobiling. There is truly something for everyone in any type of weather.
