Known as the Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast (and for good reason!), Acadia National Park is one of the most beautiful places I've ever gotten to explore. As long as you love being outdoors and around nature, Bar Harbor is the place for you!

Guide Highlights

Leave No Trace!
Acadia NPS does an amazing job of providing every outdoor activity you could imagine! Just remember, leave no trace!

Not into Hiking? No Problem!
There is so much more to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park than hiking, like whale watching, shopping, biking and fishing!

Mount Desert Island, where Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are located, is absolutely gorgeous! Most of the activities and places to stay are located on the Eastern side, but there are a few trails and a lighthouse in the Southwest.

This guide includes: how to get around, whether by car or if you flew into a nearby airport; places to stay for all budget levels; where to eat in Bar Harbor (hopefully you like seafood and blueberries - not together, of course!); cool things to do from hiking to biking to whale watching to any outdoor activity you could possibly do; tips and tricks for the park and surrounding area; and a packing list!

I hope you have an amazing time and fall in love with this national park as much as I did! Happy trails and remember, leave no trace!
