About the location
What started as a Viking fishing village in the early 10th century, Copenhagen has been Denmark’s capital since the 15th century and is today still one if the most influential cities in Scandinavia. Home to just 580 000 Danes and, some believe, over 600 000 bicycles, the city has the best mix of outdoor and indoor attractions and it is any foodie traveller’s dream. As the city is compact, it can easily be explored in just two or three days, making Copenhagen one of the top European cities for a quick weekend breakaway.
