Kakadu is a must to see when visiting the Northern Territory seeing this magical place will leave an imprint etched in your memories, this is one place you won't forget in a hurry.

Within this World Heritage-listed National Park you can soak up the Aboriginal culture, view their rock carvings done thousands of years ago, hike as much or as little as you like while being surrounded by cascading waterfalls, an abundance of bird and animal life, the most breath taking views, natural infinity pools and you will even be able to cruise down a river and get to see the largest living reptile the crocodile.

Are you thinking that this place is not one to take the kids, we have done it and now we have created this guide to show you that this place is ideal to take the kids, better than any playground you will come across it is basically a huge nature playground waiting to be explored!

Please note a 4wd is favourable to explore Kakadu and visit some of the sites that are located on unsealed roads, keep this in mind if you are hiring a car as some companies won't allow you to drive on unsealed roads. However there is still plenty to explore and see without a 4wd and there is options of personalised 4wd tours or scenic flights.
