About the location

Located along the Douro River estuary Porto is the second largest city in Portugal, behind only Lisboa and it is also one of the oldest European centres. It also has a historical core that was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.

Porto is also remembered by what may be it’s most famous export: Port wine. The cellars located in Vila Nova de Gaia were historically responsible for the packaging and export of this unique kind of wine.
