About the location

Kauai is known as the “garden island” and for good reason. It has been the backdrop of numerous Hollywood movies including: Jurassic park, South Pacific, Raiders of the Lost Arc and many more. There is no shortage of gorgeous coastline to explore (Kauai is has more miles of beach than any other island!) And the hiking is unparalleled. If you're looking for a guidebook that focuses on the natural wonders of the island, delicious food (from food trucks to fresh poke)with adventures that can be done on a budget and help you feel like a local-- then this is the guide for you!

We explored as a family in January and found it is the perfect place to seek adventure or relax on a pristine beach. With 3 kids in tow (all under 6) all of the hiking we did can be done by the majority of people and the beaches we explored are perfect for solo travelers and families alike. I am stoked to share the wonders of Kauai with you. Mahlo!
