About the location

Tunisia is one of the most underrated countries I’ve ever visited as a solo traveler. Contrary to some misperceptions, this region in North Africa is absolutely safe to visit. The people are really some of the friendliest I’ve ever met- I was offered tea, sweets, and smiles pretty much everywhere met. The mix between Mediterranean and north African food and culture is intoxicating.

It was my dream for a long time to visit this part of the world. When I finally did, I got to enjoy everything from the stunning Mediterranean coast to ancient ruins on the edge of the Sahara desert. The food- from pasta (Italy is only 40 miles away!) and street delicacies to fresh fish on the coast- was all so delicious.
