About the location
Traverse City, Michigan is known as the Cherry Capital of the World and with the surrounding areas it is the largest producer of tart cherries in the United States! The city thrives on cherries and if you go during cherry season ( July - Early August), you will see rows and rows of cherry trees on the peninsula.
It is the perfect place for a weekend getaway to lay out on the beach, explore Mission Point Peninsula wineries, hike the trails, eat great food and try cherry salsa.
Traverse City is also very dog friendly! Bring your pup with you and enjoy pet friendly restaurants, beaches, shops, and trails together.
