My Top 3 Places to Get a [healthy] Cookie Fix in Minneapolis!
I am pretty healthy when it comes to eating, but even the most health-conscious eater wants to indulge in a cookie every now and then! For me, I prefer a cookie that has few ingredients – more health forward. Perhaps that is by keeping the sugar to a minimum or getting creative with using almond flour…or even tahini! Don’t knock it until you try it. So, here are my top places to get my cookie fix in Minneapolis:
Tao Natural Foods
Tao is just my kinda place all around. I LOVE the bowls, the drinks…and especially the cookies! Their peanut butter cookie is to die for! So rich, but only a few ingredients! I was driving away from Tao with a latte and a peanut butter cookie and I felt gloriously happy in that moment. Ya know, it’s the little things! Their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are also a fave.
Brim
When I’m not at Tao, I can usually be found at Brim! YUM! And, it’s such a bright and airy space. Brim now carries Sift cookies, which are good. But, I much prefer Brim’s homemade cookies. Now making less of an appearance, sadly. But, every so often you can find them! You can also order them ahead of time – usually in a larger quantity. They make a delicious almond flour, chocolate chip cookie that is probably one of the best things to hit my tastebuds! I just love it.
Seed Cafe
Seed Cafe is a plant-based cafe attached to Modo Yoga. The space is just bohemian amazingness with plants and adorable everything. But, their cookies! Pair a tahini chocolate chip cookie with an oat milk latte and you can thank me later! SO.GOOD.
For a little extra credit, I will give a special shout out to my fave spot, Rustica, where I buy all of my coffee and bread. Their cookies are delectable and super well-known around the Twin Cities. Of course their bittersweet chocolate cookie, but they also now make flourless chocolate, chocolate chip cookies that are pretty drool-worthy.
So go get that cookie and tell me which one is your fave!
