About the location

We recently returned from our third visit to Belize! It is such an amazing country filled with Mayan ruins, caves and river adventures! And, then the coast where you can do all things ocean-related or lay around with a good read and relax! It is the kind of country where you can do it all...or absolutely nothing at all! But, then you'd miss out on all of its fun expeditions and cultural opportunities!

Great markets, kind people and so much history. We highly recommend a visit to Belize - for any travel style. In my personal opinion, a stay inland is a must! If not, you are missing out on a special place in the country where you will find gorgeous jungle views, fresh air, amazing food and lots of culture!

This Guide covers: San Ignacio, Placencia, Punta Gorda and Ambergris Caye.

Guide Highlights

Inland, Belize!

It's so lush & beautiful. Mayan Ruins. Adventure galore.

Coastal, Belize!

Turquoise waters and yummy food, all seaside! Placencia - the sleepy coastal town or the bustling island of Ambergris Caye!
