Travel is More Than Pretty Pictures on Instagram…
Instagram (and other social platforms) is inundated with travel photos and inspiration. Sure, this is lovely and definitely ignites my wanderlust. But, does anyone else find that often times the images are a little too unrealistic? Or, perhaps it gets frustrating because there’s enough inspiration, we want to know how to get there! The web has become a little less trustworthy. Who is getting paid to review or take these photos? What is real? What is authentic?
Personally, our mission here at Wild Bum is to change our mindset around travel, especially in the United States. There are so many benefits to traveling. At Wild Bum, we believe that travel should not be viewed as a luxury (or crazy photo opportunities!) rather as essential for our mental health as well as our overall health and well-being. Travel is good for you. Dr. Mehmet Oz and many other researchers have discovered and released a lot of data supporting the fact that travel can significantly reduce our risk of heart disease, depression and stress, to name a few. While increasing our productivity, creativity and overall well-being. The science is overwhelming.
I am someone who has personally experienced these benefits. The more I started to travel, and travel more meaningfully, my relationships deepened, my perspective grew and I became happier. I yearn for change and new experiences. I have even done some solo traveling and volunteer-based traveling with other women and it’s life-changing and empowering.
At Wild Bum we strive to be more than gorgeous photos on a social media platform. We are the real deal. We are the missing tool. No longer do you have to wonder how to get to an incredible destination, a stunning beach or an amazing hike you see in the photos. Guide Architects and their current, crafted and comprehensive Travel Guides are your blueprint to an incredible and magical adventure. Your purchase of a Travel Guide is supporting their knowledge, their hard work and their passion. And, you do not have to sift through a sea of piecemeal blog posts, tidbits, photos, outdated books and paid reviews.
Meet your Guide Architect. Connect on Instagram. Build a real global travel community. View travel as part of your health and well-being. Enjoy its benefits. And, most importantly, create your own memories that will last a lifetime.
Happy #wildbumming!
